Attitudes and beliefs of Afro-Americans related to organ and tissue donation.

A descriptive study was conducted to identify problems associated with
the attitudes, beliefs, and lack of participation of a small Afro-American
population concerning organ donation. I. King's theory of goal attainment
was used to compare stated beliefs with reported behaviors that would
indicate a willingness to participate in organ donation.
